Total Solar Eclipse - April 8, 2024

We are days away from the Total Solar Eclipse happening on Monday, April 8th, 2024. DWG is directly in the path of totality. No photograph can capture the moment, you must see it for yourself. Join the festivities in the park starting @ 11 am. Several food trucks will be on-site to satisfy your hunger needs. There will also be merch (T-shirts, hats, and stickers) for sale to memorialize the special event.

We are excited for you to join us at Pappy Elkins Park for a celestial event like no other on Monday, April 8th starting at 11am. CWD Update on pick-up quantity

CWD is limited to (15) 30-gallon bags per pickup. Bags larger than 30 gallons would be counted as 2 trash bags.

It's time to protect your pipes! It's looking to be a busy weather week, according to FOX 4 Weather; in true Texas fashion, we will see wet, cold, and wind. The days seem to be nice, but please winterize your outdoor pipes and plants for the overnight temps to be in the 30s with windchills in the 20s!
