Join us this Sunday, September 10, 10a-2p for the Dalworthington Gardens Farmers Market at Arlington Classics Academy, 2800 West Arkansas Lane. A list of vendors will be published Saturday on the Four Seasons Markets web page for Dalworthington Gardens https://www.fourseasonsmarkets.com/
There will be no change to the CWD service schedule due to the September 4 Labor Day holiday.
Just a reminder, garbage, recycling, and household hazardous waste services are moving to CWD September 1, 2023. Please leave recycling carts out after Republic Services picks up tomorrow. CWD will deliver new carts this week, and Republic Services will pick up their carts.
The City of Arlington is aware of the leaking valve on Bowen Road and are currently working to repair the valve. At this point, they are waiting for a part to come in to see if they will be able to stop the leak without having to dig up the road. If they’re not successful with that route, they will be making the necessary repairs needed. The timeline on that is undecided at this time.
Save the Date! Concert in the Park on September 23, 7-9pm. Uptown Drifters will be performing again this year!
95-gallon CWD recycling carts will be delivered beginning Tuesday, August 29. If you are currently paying for an additional cart, it will be delivered the same week. On Tuesday, August 29, Republic Services will be servicing and removing their carts. Please leave your Republic cart at the curb until it has been removed.
The City will soon be changing utility billing dates to move to calendar month billing. This will result in being billed on August 16 for service dates of 7/17/23-8/13/23 and a short prorated billing on September 5 for 8/14/23-8/31/23. Bills will then move to the first part of the month with a due date moving to the second to last day of the month (October 4 billing will be due October 30). Cutoffs will move to the the third Tuesday of each month. We understand this may result in unexpected expenses with two back-to-back billings and moving to a new schedule. If you encounter difficulty paying your bill, please contact the City at 817-275-1234.
The City will be switching to Community Waste Disposal (CWD) on September 1 for garbage, recycling, and household hazardous waste collection services. This change comes because the City was facing significant service changes bundled with heavy cost increases. Moving services to CWD will allow the City to keep most services as is and will add a few benefits as well. Both the City and CWD will have websites up soon with more information.
